Involved in an accident with Gary Paffett (Mercedes) during the second race of DTM at the Norisring in Germany, Mike Rockenfeller was taken to hospital for check-ups. These revealed a small fracture at the level of the fifth metatarsal of the left foot.

Mercedes quickly indicated that Gary Paffett was fine, but did not provide any additional information.
