Robin Frijns (Audi) was the fastest in the rain at the Hungaroring (Hungary) during EL2 of DTM. The Dutchman completed a lap in 1'56''342 to beat Marco Wittmann (BMW) by more than a tenth. Loïc duval (Audi) completed the top three ahead of Timo Glock (BMW) and Nico Müller (Audi). Gary Paffett hoisted the first Mercedes-AMG C 63 DTM in sixth place.
Qualifying for Race 1 will be contested from 11:20 a.m.
