Gary Paffett on pole for race 1 at Zandvoort

Mercedes confirmed its control over the Zandvoort meeting in DTM. The C63s will monopolize the first two rows of the starting grid for the first race, contested this Saturday in the Netherlands, with Gary Paffett, author of pole position in 1'30″778, 60 thousandths ahead of Pascal Wehrlein.

Paul di Resta and Lucas Auer will start on the second row in front of the two BMW M4s of Timo Glock and Marco Wittmann, which allow the Munich manufacturer to raise its head after a mixed start to the meeting.

Robin Frijns, Nico Müller and René Rast placed the first three Audi RS 5s in 7th, 8th and 9th places ahead of the BMW M4 of Augusto Farfus. Loïc duval (Audi) takes 16th place. The first race will start at 13:30 p.m.
