Frédéric Makowiecki being in Imola this weekend, for the fourth round of the ILMC, the Marc VDS Racing Team called on the Belgian Bertrand Baguette to support Maxime Martin. Seventh in the Indianapolis 500, Bertrand Baguette knows neither the Ford GT nor the Navarra circuit.
“We are delighted that Bertrand is free and has agreed to ride with us this weekend, underlines team manager Jean-Michel Delporte. Although from now on it will be difficult for Maxime Martin to win the championship, it is important to continue pushing to achieve victories, especially during the championship races, where the first step of the podium has eluded us until now. Bertrand has no experience in GT1, but his talent is indisputable. I am convinced that he will adapt quickly to the Ford GT, just like to the Navarra circuit. I expect him to be close to Maxime's pace in both races this weekend. »
