After a satisfactory first season last year, including a victory in the Tourist Trophy, the Sumo Power GT team is returning to the FIA GT1 world championship. But after the withdrawal of the Swiss Racing Team, the British team will be in charge of the four GT-Rs entered by the Japanese brand. Two will be entered under the name Sumo Power GT, the other two being lined up under the JR Motorsport banner.

On one of the two Nissan GT-R Sumo Power GT we will find two Brazilians who took action in Formula 1 and who both won races last year, namely Ricardo Zonta and Enrique Bernoldi. The crew of the sister car will be announced at a later date.
