Nick Heidfeld has joined the German GT Academy as a judge and will compete in one of the three Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3s entered in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring on June 21 and 22. The Rebellion Racing driver will drive the #80 alongside Florian Strauss, the latest winner of the German GT Academy, Lucas Ordonez and Alex Buncombe. The #30 will be driven by Michael Krumm, Kazuki Hoshino and Katsumasa Chiyo while the last will be driven by Jordan Tresson, the winner of the 2009 GT Academy, and Kazunori Yamauchi, the creator of the Gran Turismo series.
