While he dominated this entire weekend of DTM at Hockenheim, Mattias Ekström had the misfortune of puncturing during the race and once again passing his opponents in the pits. Victory eluded him and went to Tom Kristensen, in ambush behind the Swede. The Dane won a great victory there, for his last announced season in DTM. The endurance specialist is ahead of three other Audi A4s, those of Scheider, Jarvis and Winkelhock.
