Kyle Busch will wear a stylized number 2023 in 8, taking up the initial of his last name. In order to introduce this issue, Richard Childress Racing quotes the French writer Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr in its press release: “the more it changes, the more it's the same thing”.

This issue indeed honors a glorious past while looking towards the future. By inheriting the number 8, Kyle Busch succeeds prestigious drivers including Dale Earnhardt Jr., David Pearson, Wendell Scott and Sterling Marlin. Several partners such as Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen, 3CHI, Alsco, Lenovo and BetMGM are expected to work on the body of Kyle's Chevrolet Camaro throughout the season.
Kyle Busch will team up with Austin Dillon who will begin his 10th full season in the Cup Series. By winning a race this season, he brought his record to 3 victories. Truck Series champion in 2011 and Xfinity Series in 2013, he hopes to take a step forward this season thanks to the immense experience of his new partner.
2022 therefore marked the end of a 15-year collaboration between Busch and the team of Joe Gibbs, former American Football coach and winner of 3 Super Bowls. The 37-year-old won two Cup Series titles with the team in 2015 and 2019, and remains the team's winningest driver to this day with 56 of his 60 victories achieved under his famous No. 18.
