2022 Supercars grid finalized after Pither signing

This Thursday, January 20, the PremiAir Racing team (formerly Team Sydney) confirmed the return of Chris Pither to Supercars for the 2022 season. He will support Garry Jacobson, and oust Fabian Coulthard from the drivers entered in the regular season of the Australian championship.

A paying driver but who never obtained a convincing result during his presence in Supercars between 2016 and 2020 (20th), Chris Pither took the upper hand over the experienced Fabian Coulthard, who refused to open his wallet, 'especially since he had one last year of contract with Team Sydney before the buyout by an Australian businessman (and drag racing champion).

With his 470 starts, 13 races won and a podium at the Bathurst 1 Km in 000 (2017rd), Fabian Coulthard (39 years old) could bounce back as co-driver during the next Bathurst 1000 (October 6-9).
