Nico Mueller (Audi) thought for a long time he could take pole position, after his disappointment yesterday during Race 1 which he did not finish. The Team Rosberg driver was the provisional leader in Qualifying until the red flag came. 4 minutes from the end of the session, Felipe Fraga (Ferrari) suddenly stopped at the side of the track with his Ferrari on fire. The Brazilian was able to escape from his vehicle before heading towards the trackside marshals. After 13 minutes of neutralization, Qualifying was able to resume and Nico Mueller saw 5 drivers pass him in the final standings. The Swiss will start from 6th position for Race 2 of this second weekend of the DTM season at 13:30 p.m. this Sunday.
