One of the rare championships to combine GT3 and GT4 in the world will open up to the GT2 category in 2019. The British GT, organized under the aegis of the Stéphane Ratel Organization (SRO) will accept these new cars, which will be more powerful than the GT3 but with less aero, which should give lap times between the GT3 and GT4.

Concerning the calendar for next season, it changes little with the traditional opening during the Easter weekend at Oulton Park and the conclusion at Donington Park at the end of summer. The location of the meeting on June 22 and 23 remains to be defined, knowing that Rockingham remains in the running. As in 2018, Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) will host a round of the British championship.

2019 British GT Calendar:

April 20-22: Oulton Park (two one-hour races)

May 18-19: Snetterton (two one-hour races)

June 8-9: Silverstone 500 (a three-hour race)

June 22-23: To be defined

July 20-21: Spa-Francorchamps (a two-hour race)

August 3-4: Brands Hatch (a two-hour race)

September 14-15: Donington Park (a two-hour race)
