Hankook and the DTM have just extended their partnership. The Korean manufacturer will continue to equip German touring championship cars at least until the end of the 2016 season, with an option for subsequent years. The announcement has just been made as the DTM season prepares to open this weekend at Hockenheim, and as Hankook will distribute tires for the DTM for the third year in a row, since the start of their partnership in 2011. Note that for the first time, the official supplier of the championship will provide the teams with two types of tires: the “Venture Race” and the “option” compound called “Venture Race Plus”. The latter, softer and faster, should allow you to spin 1 to 1,5 seconds faster per revolution during a short window of use.
