Le DTM announced the strengthening of its technical and sporting department with the recruitment of Gordian von Schöning, who will manage the sporting and engineering areas of the German Touring Car Championship from 2019.
Gordian von Schöning knows his subject well having managed the development and design of BMW Motorsport's DTM program in recent years, after having officiated within HWA, which operated the Mercedes-Benz across the Rhine.
Von Schöning will liaise with Michael Bernard for relations with manufacturers, the DMSB and the promoter ITR. Von Schöning will also be at the helm of the merger with Super GT.
