The organizers of DTM will carry out two official test sessions before the start of the season. The first session will be held from March 26 to 29 in Barcelona while the second will take place from April 9 to 12 in Hockenheim before the start of the season which will take place on the German circuit on the weekend of May 5. During the first session, the teams and drivers will test the soft Hankook tires which should provide better performance, more overtaking opportunities and more strategies. But the teams will also test a DRS system like the one used in F1 which will temporarily open the rear wing to increase top speed.
