It's a small revolution in the world of Australian Supercars. For the first time since 1998, the Kelly family will no longer appear on the starting grid. Brothers Rick and Todd Kelly announced in a video the sale of their team Stephen and Brenton Whole grained this winter, the team now being renamed Grove Racing.

“It will be hard to watch Supercars from the outside after living and breathing it for so long”, concedes Todd Kelly, winner of the Bathurst 1 Km in 000.

His brother Rick made even more Supercars (then V8 Supercars) history by winning the Bathurst 1 in quick succession in 000 and 2003, then defeating legend Craig Lowndes in a controversial championship final in 2004.

In 2009, the siblings united to create their own team, Kelly Racing. Despite victories aboard Holden, Nissan and Ford, the team failed to win a title. In recent years, Todd Kelly had the role of Team Principal.
