Tom Pedersen has set up a new Championship based on the Mitjet Supertourisme which will be launched next year in Denmark. As reported by Touringcartimes.com, this new series will welcome drivers separated into two groups, the Pros and the Privates, and will offer events of three races per weekend. However, this project received criticism for competing with the Danish Thundersport Championship (DTC) established in 2012 and being contested by V8-powered Chevrolets, Dodges and Fords. The organizers of the Danish Mitjet Supertourisme Turbo currently have five registrations out of the 12 required.
