The Atlanta (Georgia) oval, which will host the Nascar Cup Series this weekend, will undergo significant changes in the wake of the race, in preparation for the 2022 season.
The inclination of the track in its turns will thus increase from 24 to 28°, the steepest slope of all the intermediate tracks on the Nascar calendar.
The banking of the straight sections will remain fixed at 5°, while the maximum width of the track will be reduced from 16 to 12m in the bends.
