As in Hockenheim, Mattias Ekström placed his Audi A4 at the head of the field DTM, during the EuroSpeedway qualifying session. The Swede is two ahead Mercedes, driven by the British Gary Paffett and Paul di Resta. Alexandre Prémat, despite his superb time in the morning, was quickly eliminated and will only start in fifteenth position.
