Mücke Motorsport will present two Mercedes-AMG at the start of the young driver series DTM Trophy, in parallel with the classic 2022 DTM season. With these near-series GT sports cars, Peter Mücke's team is embarking on a new path to introduce young Formula 4 talents into GT sport and prepare them for the rise to DTM.

“The DTM Trophy is the ideal entry into the sport of GT racing, explains the team director, who will announce the composition of the drivers later. In this context, young drivers benefit above all from the DNA of the DTM Trophy, namely one driver per car, as in DTM. This is a very important point, as it allows a driver to develop much faster and in a straight line, without having to compromise with a second driver. »

Peter Mücke's team previously competed in the DTM with Mercedes from 2005 to 2016 and returned to the traditional series last season.
