On a still wet track Red Bull Ring, Nico Müller (Audi) set the best time in the third free practice session of the Austrian weekend in DTM. Müller completed a benchmark lap in 1'33"797, more than four tenths better than Edoardo Mortara (Mercedes), and remains the only driver under 1'34" per lap.
Robin Frijns (Audi), unlucky yesterday in race 1, set the third time at 0″528 and precedes Gary Paffett (Mercedes) and Mike Rockenfeller (Audi). Seventh beat for Loic duval (Audi) at 0″709, while Sébastien Ogier (Mercedes) finished 18th at 1″776.
