Fourth in the first tests on Friday in the streets of Nuremberg, Liam Lawson took second during the 2nd session at the end of the day. The New Zealander, leader of the championship at the start of this last round, dominated all his competitors thanks to a best lap of 49.
On the line, he is not ahead of his main championship rival Kelvin van der Linde but a trio of Mercedes composed of Arjun Maini, Maximilian Götz and Lucas Auer. KVDL ranks 5th at only 87 thousandths from the Kiwi.
