The Nürburgring and the bad weather conditions, a story that never ends. Qualifying for Race 1 had to be canceled on Saturday DTM. Thick fog on the Eifel circuit does not allow drivers to take to the track safely. “The conditions are not suitable for the operation of the race track”, declared race control.

This means that Mirko Bortolotti with the Lamborghini GRT will start from pole position for the first time in the DTM. Sheldon van der Linde will be second on the grid with the BMW Schubert, followed by the two Audi drivers, René Rast (Team ABT) and Nico Müller (Team Rosberg), then Lucas Auer (Winward) and Felipe Fraga (Red Bull AF Corsica).
