Pole position for Tom Blomqvist at the Norisring

Tom Blomqvist (BMW) took his first pole of the season for the second race of the DTM at the Norisring thanks to a best time set in 47”252. The son of the 1984 world rally champion was ahead of Robert Wickens at the end of the session (Mercedes) of only 4 thousandths.

Nico Müller's Audi RS5 enters the second row in third just ahead of Bruno Spengler (BMW), winner of the first race yesterday. New leader of the general classification, Mattias Ekström (Audi) finished 5th in these qualifications ahead of Lucas Auer (Mercedes) last driver in the same tenth as the poleman. Loïc duval (Audi) qualifies 17th.
