René Rast (Audi) once again takes pole at the Nürburgring for Race 2 of the DTM. The reigning champion set a time of 1'22''140 which allowed him to be 6 thousandths ahead of the Mercedes by Gary Paffett.
The new championship leader could further increase his lead over Paul di Resta (Mercedes) only 11th. The BMWs of Philipp Eng and Timo Glock will share the second row of the grid in front of the Mercedes of Lucas Auer and Pascal Wehrlein. Loïc duval (Audi) set the 16th fastest time.
