Sébastien Loeb penalized three places for his next race

Sébastien Loeb discovered the DTM this weekend in Portimão. 16th in Race 1 on Saturday, the Frenchman finished 18th on Sunday after occupying second position thanks to an offbeat strategy. “ I think I could do a lot better today but it's really difficult to get something good at the end when you start from 27th position. In the race, everything went well, we fought hard to get back to 18th place,” judged the Alsatian after his race.

For his next race in the discipline, the nine-time world rally champion will have to deal with a penalty of three places on the grid. The race management criticizes him for not having respected the limits of the track. The question is when the pilot Red Bull, luxury freelancer in Portugal replacing Nick Cassidy, will return to the championship? This could be during the round at Norisring (July 1-3), since the New Zealander will also have an ePrix planned in Canada that weekend. Nevertheless, the Alsatian told us that this was not currently planned in his program…
