ITR, organizer of the German touring car championship DTM, announced this Thursday the launch of a competition to create the design of the trophy which will be awarded at the end of the season to the champion driver of the discipline.
Interested artists and designers can submit their ideas until July 12. At the end of the same month, a jury will present three selected creations, before fans vote for the final choice.
A VIP weekend for the Hockenheim final (October 13-15), including a meeting with the future champion, or a ride in a DTM-Taxi, will reward the winning designer. His runner-up and the third in the competition will be awarded annual passes for 2018.
