As in the first race earlier in the morning, Mark Winterbottom (Prodrive Racing Australia? Ford) won in Ipswich (Queensland) by taking the best start against pole sitter Craig Lowndes (Red Bull Racing Australia / Triple Eight? Holden) who had to lose in the first round.
The podium is completed by Chaz Mostert, Winterbottom's teammate. David Reynolds (Rod Nash Racing? Ford). Jamie Whincup (Red Bull Racing Australia / Triple Eight? Holden) completes the top 5 of this second round. Note the retirement of Shane van Gisbergen (Tekno Autosports – Holden), his first in almost two years.
