Jamie Whincup and Paul Dumbrell (Triple Eight) won Race 2 of the Gold Coast 600 in Surfers Paradise, beating the Volvo of Scott McLaughlin and Alexandre Prémat (GRM) who started from pole. Michael Caruso and Dean Fiore (Norton Hornets) completed the podium ahead of Tim Slade and Tony d'Alberto (Supercheap Auto Racing) while Shane van Gisbergen and Jonathon Webb (Team Tekno VIP Petfoods), the winners of Race 1), finished in the top five.
