Jamie Whincup and James Courtney, two winners from last weekend in Adelaide, received a 25-point penalty. The defending champion collided with the Nissan Altima of Michael Caruso (Norton Hornets) while exiting the pits during the third race following a drive-through. As for the Holden Racing Team resident, his sanction comes from a collision during the second race where he collided with both Scott Pye (Dick Johnson Racing) and Lee Holdsworth (Erebus Motorsport).
The pilot of the Red Bull Racing Australia finds itself seventh while the winner of the main race now occupies fifth place in the Championship, 90 points behind leader Craig Lowndes (Red Bull Racing Australia).
