Championship leader Kelvin Van der Linde set the fastest time during the first qualifying session of the weekend at the Nürburgring. He will start in pole position for the third time this season, after setting a time of 1:26.052. Alongside him, Philip Ellis will start from the front row. The Swiss failed two tenths off the best time. The top 3 is completed by the latest winner in Zolder: Marco Wittman. Van der Linde's runner-up in the drivers' standings, Liam Lawson will only start from 11th position. Note the 9th time ofAlexander albon and the 19th time of Marcus Winkelhock.
The start of race 1 will be at 13:30 p.m.
