The protégé of Mercedes-AMG Andrea Kimi Antonelli won the 18th edition of the ACI Supercorso Federale, an award organized by the Italian federation. Based in Vallelunga, the selection took place over a week and pitted several young drivers against each other racing in F4s prepared by Iron Lynx.
The Italian was opposed to five opponents. Three were like him chosen by the ACI Federal School (Brando Badoer, Valerio Rinicella and the ROK Senior Italian champion Eliseo Donno), while the other two were chosen by the Ferrari Driver Academy: kart driver and new member of the FDA Rafael Camara, as well as the world champion of karting Tuukka Taponen.
At the end of the various driving sessions, it was Andrea Kimi Antonelli who won the prize, thanks to a significant lead of 0”3 during the final. As a reminder, Antonelli made his debut in Formula 4 this year for a few rounds with Prema, and has already announced his participation in F4 UAE this winter, with the Italian structure, before probably a full season in Formula 4 with Prema.
