Belgium – Paul Aron in pole position ahead of Hadrien David

Paul Aron is getting back in the running direction at Spa Francorchamps. After letting Gabriele Mini take back points in Hungary, the Estonian started his weekend ideally on Belgian soil. Author of pole position for Race 1 in 2'15"786, the Prema driver will start on the first row alongside the Habs, Hadrien David.

Placed in Group A like Dino Beganovic, his teammate and championship leader, Paul Aron quickly managed to get ahead of the 16 drivers on the track alongside him. By setting the best time in the score table, the Estonian took cover. For his part, the Swedish driver lost precious seconds due to a brake lock allowing Paul Aron to win this Prema duel.

Hadrien David less than a tenth from Paul Aron

The Estonian just had to wait until the end of the Group B qualifying session to find out if he would take pole position. The second batch of drivers which included Gabriele Mini and Hadrien David were not able to do better than the Prema driver. The Habs still managed to secure a front row start for Race 2 in 2’15”844. Behind him in Group B, it is not the Italian driver who we find but Gabriele Bortoleto and another French driver, Owen Tangavelou who will start from 6th place on Friday.

For the other Tricolores on the Freca grid, the first qualifying session did not please them all. Esteban Masson, who just arrived at ART Grand Prix until the end of the season, finished 11th in his group ahead of Victor Bernier in 15th position. Sami Meguetounif concluded this first session in 7th position, 4 tenths behind Hadrien David while Maceo Capietto finished in 10th position in Group B. The start of Race 2 is scheduled for 11:40 a.m. at Spa Francorchamps this Saturday.
