In difficulty since the start of the year, Franco Colapinto (MP Motorsport) signed his first pole position of the season this Saturday on the side of Red Bull Ring in Austria. In a session contested on a dry track, the Argentinian achieved the best time with a fast lap completed in 1'25″403, a tenth faster than Hadrien David (R-ace GP) and two times faster than Paul Aron (Prema ).
Undisputed leader of the championship, Grégoire Saucy (ART Grand Prix) is only 6th on the starting grid for Race 1 behind Gabriel Bortoleto (FA Racing) and Alex Quinn (Arden). Isack Hadjar (R-ace GP) inherits the 8th fastest time in these qualifications.
