The MP Motorsport rookie duo dominated the free practice session at the Sochi meeting this Friday, Formula 3. The Brazilian was indeed the fastest on both sets of tires. Auriverde is closely followed by his teammate Victor Martins (+0 »083). the Frenchman had more difficulty getting into the rhythm but he set his best time during his last flying lap. Frederik Vesti (ART Grand Prix), fighting with Martins for 3rd place in the championship, completes the top 3 of the session (+0 »297).
Championship leader Dennis Hauger (Prema) is only in 8th position, but his ranking does not reflect the potential of his package. 4 minutes from the end of the session, the Norwegian had in fact set the record in the first two sectors, before facing traffic which completely ruined his lap. His only opponent for the title, the Australian Jack Doohan (Trident) finished outside the top 10. Note the 6th place of Clément Novalak (Trident), the current 3rd in the championship. Qualifying will take place at noon.
