Leader of the championship after the first round in Barcelona, Norwegian Dennis Hauger (Prema) dominated the one and only free practice session of the weekend at Le Castellet, this Friday. The pilot supported by Red Bull ahead of Caio Collet (MP Motorsport/+0 »2) and Jack Doohan (Trident/+0 »3).
The three leading men are closely followed by Frédérik Vesti (ART Grand Prix/+0”3) and Victor Martins (MP Motorsport/+0”4), first Frenchman classified. The young rookie Jak Crawford (Hitech), who briefly took the lead in the session three minutes from the end, finally finished 6th ahead of Alexander Smolyar (ART Grand Prix) and Jonny Edgar (Carlin).
The other three tricolors finished far behind. Pierre-Louis Chovet (Campos) is in 22nd place, two positions ahead of Clément Novalak (Trident). Reshad de Gerus, who went off the track, did not complete a single fast lap.
