HWA RACELAB has announced that Danish driver Oliver Rasmussen will complete its driver line-up for the campaign Formula 3 2021, joining Matteo Nannini and Rafael Villagomez. Rasmussen made his debut for HWA during the 2020 post-season tests in Jerez and Barcelona, impressing the German outfit enough to earn a contract.
The 20-year-old first attracted attention with podium finishes in the German and Italian Formula 4 championships. He then moved up to Formula Regional Europe, winning six races, with a total of 13 podiums, to finish third.
“Oliver’s performance at the regional European Championship Formula 2020 was impressive. This shows that he has the potential to produce high-level performances at the highest level of FIA Formula 3,” according to team boss Thomas Strick.
