While he was supposed to start from sixth place on the starting grid for the first race in Budapest, Daniel Ricciardo (ISR) could not even complete the formation lap, his car having remained stuck in the gravel following an excursion by the Australian.

The Hungarian track dries up after rain falls on the Hungaroring. The choice of slick tires taken by the teams was perhaps not the best.
