FR 3.5: Guerrieri takes pole

Second on the grid and at the finish yesterday, Esteban Guerrieri confirms that he feels good on the Hockenheim track. The Argentinian from ISR wins the best time in qualifying for the second Formula race Renault 3.5 Series, setting a best lap of 1:26:415.

He will have at his side on the front line a pilot from the Ferrari Academy driver, the Italian Daniel Zampieri, who defends the colors of Pons Racing. On board his car from Fortec Motorsport, the Monegasque Stefano Coletti sets the third time.

The leader of the provisional general classification, the Russian Mikhail Aleshin (Carlin), will start seventh, three places ahead of his great rival for the title, the Australian from Tech 1 Racing Daniel Ricciardo. The two strong men of the championship were trapped by the red flag following the exit from the track of Walter Grubmüller, resident of P1 Motorsport.

On the French side, good performance from Nathanaël Berthon who places his Draco team car in eighth place. Jean-Eric Vergne (Tech 1 Racing) and Nelson Panciatici (Junior Lotus Racing), qualified in 14th and 15th position respectively.
