France – Bartrer dominates qualifying at Magny-Cours

Australian Hugh Barter was the fastest in qualifying for the 3rd round of the 2022 season at Magny-Cours this Friday.

France – Bartrer dominates qualifying at Magny-Cours

As in Nogaro in April at the season opener, Hugh Barter once again dominated qualifying. At Magny-Cours where the 3 is already being contestede round of the 2022 campaign, the Australian outclassed his comrades thanks to a best lap in 1'40"839 making him the only one under 1'40 in the Nièvre.

On the line, the vice-champion of F4 France 2021 was ahead of Dario Cabanelas and Elliott Vayron by a little more than 3 tenths before pushing the rest of the peloton back at least 4 tenths. Lorens Lecertua and Souta Arao completed the Top 5 of the session where Alessandro Giusti, member of the AUTOhebdo Rookie Academy, ranked 6e with a lap in 1'41"391.

Regarding the reverse grid of Race 2, Pierre-Alexandre Provost, 10th during qualifying, inherits pole position ahead of Yuto Nomura and Louis Pelet.

As for pole position for Race 3, defined by the 2nd best personal time, it was once again Hugh Barter who dominated the timesheet. Again under 1'41 with a lap in 1'40″999, the championship leader beat Elliott Vayron, Souta Arao, Alessandro Giusti and Dario Cabanelas.
