Kas Haverkort signs with Van Amersfoort Racing

Champion of F4 Spain in 2020 and seventeenth in FRECA this season for his first campaign in the category, Kas Haverkort will move from MP Motorsport to Van Amersfoort Racing in 2022, with whom he will spend a second year at this level.

As a reminder, the 18-year-old Dutchman delivered a rather disappointing 2021 season given his talent and what he had shown so far in Formula 4. “My first year in FRECA was above all a year of learning, he insisted on tempering. Joining VAR is important for me to achieve my goals next season.”

After MP Motorsport, the Batavian has therefore decided to remain faithful to the Dutch teams since it is with Van Amersfoort Racing that he will compete next year. “Kas is really talented, he showed it last year by winning the Spanish F4 straight from karting», explains team boss Rob Niessink. We know what he is capable of and he showed it to us once again at Mugello, during winter testing. There is still time before the first round of the championship, that will give us time to prepare together..

The Batavian hopes to fight for the title in 2022. As a reminder, the best Van Amersfoort driver, Mari Boya, finished 14th in the championship in 2021.
