A semblance of uncertainty hovered over the final general classification of the Regional Formula by Alpine 2022. Indeed, the Automobile Club Italia (ACI) lodged a protest against the appeal won by Prema concerning Dino Beganovic's second place in Race 2 at Paul-Ricard (Var) last June.
The appeal by the ACI, organizer of FRECA, was deemed inadmissible by the FIA appeal court for having filed its request after the filing deadline.

As a result, Beganovic's teammate Paul Aron dropped from second to third place in the second race at Paul-Ricard, losing three points and thus finishing four points behind that race's winner, Gabriele Mini.
The ICA's decision does not change anything in the championship standings, but it does mean that if the decision had been known at the time, Dino Beganovic would have been crowned champion at the penultimate round in Barcelona rather than at the final round at Mugello.
