Si Hiroki Otsu took pole position at the Motegi circuit in Super Formula, this went to Giuliano Alesi in Super Formula Lights. The Frenchman will start at the front for the last round of the season after a time of 1:43.851. The TOM’s driver beat Ren Sato (TODA RACING, 1:43.909) and Atsushi Miyake (Rn-sports, 1:44.994).
