Ligier will continue to supply F3 and F4 for the American championships

Ligier renews its partnership with Parella Motorsports, commercial owner of American Formula Regional and U.S. Formula 4. The French manufacturer continues an adventure that began in 2020 and which will expand “in 2023 and beyond”. The agreement concerns in particular the future of the two series. A new chassis, the Ligier JS F422, will be introduced in F4 U.S. in 2024, with the arrival of the Halo. Ligier will also produce new engines for both categories: the Ligier Storm, a 4-liter V1,65 which will also be introduced in 2024.

“I am delighted to announce the continuation of our partnership with Ligier Automotive”, said Tony Parella, president of Parella Motorsports. “Since we announced Parella Motorsports’ involvement in the championships in 2020, Ligier has been a key partner. This is even clearer today with the vital role they are prepared to take on in supporting the future of the championships. I look forward to seeing the new Ligier JS F422 on the track in 2024, and I am very happy that our young drivers will be even better protected thanks to all the safety improvements made to this chassis. »

Max Crawford, CEO of Ligier Automotive North America, welcomed this renewal of partnership. “We've put a lot of work into this new Ligier Storm engine, and we're excited to see it power the FR America and F4 U.S. championships starting in 2024. Since the mid-2010s, we've produced more than 150 F4 chassis and F3 in our workshops, and we look forward to bringing the JS F422 to life and seeing it on track in 2024.”
