Marcus Amand signs with US Racing

His first experience of Formula 4 last year was difficult, but rich in lessons. Prodigy of karting, Marcus Amand suffered a lot in 2021 on a physical level, while his growth was not yet completely complete. As a result, within the French R-ace GP team, he could not do better than 12th in the championship in F4 ADAC, without having signed the slightest podium.

After having done a lot of physical work this winter, Marcus Amand will do a second year of Formula 4, but this time in Italy, a direct consequence of the massive exodus of German F4 teams to the Italian one. He will indeed ride with US Racing, the team founded by Ralf Schumacher, and which allowed in 2019 to Theo Pourchaire to win the title of champion in German F4.

“I have already seen Marcus compete in karts, and I believe he has enormous talent and has enormous potential. I’m super happy at the idea of spending the season with him and I’m sure he will show us the full extent of his talent.”, explained Ralf Schumacher. The Franco-Finnish took part in the end-of-season tests with US Racing, posting solid times.
