Building on his very good weekend at Imola at the beginning of May, Gabriele Mini (ART Grand Prix) got off to a perfect start in Monaco, where FRECA is competing in the 3rd round of its 2022 season.
Winner for the first time of the year during the previous meeting at Imola, Gabriele Mini stood out this time with the best time in the only free practice sessions in Monaco. In a session marked by a few incidents (exit at the Portier corner for Cenyu Han of the Monolite team) and in particular a pile-up at Rascasse which caused a red flag, the Italian from ART Grand Prix dominated the time sheet with a best lap of 1'30″585 making him the only driver under 1'31 in the Rock this Thursday.
On the line, Gabriele Mini was more than half a second behind his closest pursuer, Kas Haverkort (VAR), and almost 7 tenths behind his teammate Laurens Van Hoepen. The two men clocked 1’31”190 and 1’31”262 respectively.
