Jean-Marie Cuoq (Peugeot 206 WRC) retires in the SS11 of Vallerague while he was leading the Rally des Cévennes with a good lead over Pierre Campana (Mini JCW), who suddenly takes control of the event. The Bastiais has almost 3 minutes ahead of Jean-François Mourgues (Peugeot 307 WRC). Manu Guigou (Renault Mégane RS) was less than 20 seconds behind Éric Brunson's 4th place (Subaru Impreza WRC S12B) before also retiring in SS11. Pierre Roché (307 WRC) thus finds himself in 4th position.
