Author of a flawless performance, Stéphane Chambon logically won this 30th edition of the rally Terre de Provence, behind the wheel of his ??old?? but efficient Subaru Impreza Group A. It is ahead of the Subaru Impreza WRC by Dominique Bruyneel of 56 seconds. But the Belgian took advantage of Chambon's non-registration in the French gravel rally championship to become the first leader of the season. Christophe Ferrier, who had already distinguished himself last year by winning the Terre des Causses, dominated Group N, and took third place on the podium. Half-hearted race for Paul Chieusse (Peugeot 206 WRC) and Bernard Munster (Skoda Octavia WRC), while Philippe Gache, due to a 50-second road penalty, lost three positions overall. First place in 2WD (and in group R) goes to Falco (Renault Clio R3).
