In this interval, the crew carried the Renault 5 Turbo two-seater runner-up in Spain, before winning the national crown with a Ford Sierra RS Cosworth in 1987.
The co-pilot, native of Madrid, had also accompanied the first steps of “El Matador” in the World Rally Championship the same year, setting a scratch time in Rally from Portugal.
Hoy ha fellecido my great friend and co-pilot Antonio Boto, with the elegance of a Spanish campeonato and debut in the World Cup. Con él disfrute y lo pase como con nadie! I know so much that I love it. Hoy lloro por su perdida! My best feeling is for all the family.
