After Kevin Abbring the day before, it's the turn of Craig Breen to give up Rally of Ireland in the first special of the second stage, the 13,53km Bulls Brook. It is again a radiator problem which is suspected on the Peugeot 208 T16, the same problem that put an end to the Dutchman's hopes. Esapekka Lappi (Skoda) is now firmly established at the head of the event with almost two minutes ahead of Robert Barrable's Fiesta R5, while Sepp Wiegand hoists his Fabia S2000 onto the provisional podium with 14 seconds behind just ahead the Fiesta RRC of Sam Moffett which is only five seconds behind the top three after having signed the scratch on the course. Robert Consani is now in the top five in his 207 S2000.
