Vaclav Pech (Mini JCW S2000) took the lead of the Jännerrallye after the first three special stages of the second stage after being the fastest on all courses. Robert Kubica lost time after his brakes overheated and now finds himself ten seconds behind the Czech following a penalty for early departure. Raimund Baumschlager continues to complete the provisional podium in his Skoda Fabia S2000, more than half a minute from the lead of the race. Robert Consani hoisted his Peugeot 207 S2000 in ninth place.
Beppo Harrach leads the Production category in his Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX R4 which is fifth in the general classification, just four seconds behind Jaromar Tarabus' Fabia S2000. Michael Böhm leads the two-wheel drive on his Suzuki Swift S1600.
